And it’s going to be longer. Sorry. I haven’t update this in a while and that’s because I have been swamped with Hex Kit. I totally skipped, like a fucking idiot, updating my site while working through the Hex Kit Kickstarter. And I’ve manage to sign myself up for so much work after getting Hex Kit out that I am afraid I’m going to forget about this site again. But I am going to try to get back into painting maps for fun and putting them here. And also some more non map shit, I’d like to definitely get some more non map stuff here. At any rate, this is what’s going on in my life:
Hex Kit: Holy shit did this come together in a great way. We launched the kickstarter back in February and raised over 17,000 bones. If you’re looking for more information on Hex Kit, or updates on the project you check it out here. We don’t do hidden updates so you can see all the pretty pictures and videos, and keep track of production there. We are on track to have that in your hands on April 21st!
Song Of The Woad: I wrote this entry about the Woad People of Urth for Shadow of the Demon Lord! It’s been on some top lists for a few weeks now and I am pretty stoked on it. We should, soon, do a post about what it’s like to write for someone else’s IP because its a really interesting process. Youi can see the adventure right here.
The Freeport Companion for Shadow Of The Demon Lord: So Robert J. Schwalb launched a Kickstarter not to long ago to bring the pirate-ass city of Freeport to the Demon Lord System. I’ll be doing a bunch of maps for the books coming out in August.
Sly Flourish’s Fantastic Adventures: Mike Shea, also known as Sly Flourish has a Kickstarter (yeah, lots of Kickstarter this year) going on for some 5th Edition adventure locations. If the campaign hits 11k in funding I am going to do the map that links all the locations, and also a village. Look for that later this year!
Table Top Babble: James Introcaso does this really great podcast called Table Top Babble and he invited me on to talk about maps and working on RPG stuff full time. We also talked about Do Not Let Us Die In The Dark Night Of This Cold Winter and stuff like that. You can listen to Table Top Babble right here.
Cold Winter: The print version of this is coming soon! I promise. I had to put it aside for Hex Kit and commission work but I’ve brought it back out and have been slowly fixing errors in it to get a thing that weighs something in your hands.
And In The Spring When The Flowers Are New We Will Rise: is the thematic sequel to Cold Winter. It’s going early summer this year, and its a book about factions. It will have a expanded version of my faction tracker (hidden somewhere on this website, shit.) as well as a bunch of fleshed out, detailed, factions you can use in your game. And none of them are cults.
Well that’s about it from me today! I also made this picture to use for some promotion stuff I had to do.
